Fire Damage- Kitchen Fire

The most common type of fire in the U.S. is the kitchen fire, according to www.firerescue1.com. This customer experienced this first hand. When SERVPRO arrived on scene we first contained the direct fire area and began cleaning the rest of the home from top to bottom. Once adjusters and contractors could arrive to asses the situation we also clean the fire area. As you can see in this picture that may consist of removing unsalvageable items and furniture or simply wiping down affected areas. The directly affected areas have to be thoroughly  cleaned and prepped so that the contractors can begin to replace damaged items.
